On The Opportunity to Make a Difference

It’s an important question to ask:

What do you do to give back?

We often consider charitable acts to be selfless. It’s possible to argue the opposite, however. Enriching the lives of those in need can benefit not only those individuals but the lives of their families and of their communities, impacting their future and the people they come into contact with. When you work in those communities, you care about the lives of those around you. Not just your office staff, not just your building, not just your block, but the communal areas that everyone shares.

When our corporate headquarters volunteered to cook at the Ronald McDonald House this March, it was one example of the seriousness with which we undertake our duties. Each of our locations, from coast to coast, contributes to the communities they serve, not just by providing products like medical uniforms and scrubs in Hillsboro, OR (and surroundings) but by organizing, donating, and working to aid individuals in need of assistance. At the Ronald McDonald House, where families of sick children can stay close to hospitals where their loved ones are receiving medical care, our corporate office associates spent an evening preparing a home-cooked meal for the House residents. This wasn’t our only contribution: Nationwide, ImageFIRST provides both monetary donations and in-kind donations of complimentary laundry service to Ronald McDonald House Charities locations.

We encourage the men and women at our company to find the causes they care about, the ones they can make a difference in. When they do, we help them do the work they can for and with them.  Whether it’s working with the Back on My Feet charity or the March of Dimes, we’re doing what we can to make the communities that we work in the best they can be.

In life and business, every day is an opportunity to make a difference. Whether it’s the lives of the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House, or the life of a person who is struggling with homelessness, we aim to help them, not because we should, but because we can.

As a company that deals in enriching the lives of patients in healthcare facilities, it only makes sense for us to enrich the lives of those in the neighborhoods and cities that we work in. Sometimes it’s about providing medical scrubs and uniforms in Hillsboro, OR, or anywhere else we work throughout the US. Sometimes it’s about changing one life, to impact our collective future.
